Shocking service. 3 hour wait for lunch, then it didn't all come out together, my starter arrived after all the mains. One of our lunch companions waited another half an hour for his chicken pie wWhile the manageress muttered something about cooking it all the way through. Two of our party ordered the kingklip, which came out hard and rubbery. My guess is frozen fish that was defrosted in the microwave, then cooked and left in the warmer for an hour or more. We send it back.They were replaced with more of the same which were also so tough they could bend fork tines. Champagne corkage is R50, which is inexcusably exessive. I ordered creme brulee wherever I go, it's my favourite, and a measure of good cooking, it was ok, finished with a pretty pile of spun sugar, but not the best ever, the sugar top should be delicate and melt in the mouth, not a centimeter thick. It's a beautiful place, but understaffed, overpriced and you will need amazing patience if you ever hope to get anything. Tragic.
