Having nothing to do one Friday I thought I'd amuse myself with a glass of wine at Pistachio's while I waited for a friend who occasionally works there to get off work. Well. The wine was lovely. But to not be greeted - at all - when I walked through the door and hovered for a full minute in front of the desk was a bit odd. Granted, one of the managers was busy assisting someone else, and the other was on the floor, but to not even make eye contact with a client? I was only acknowledged once they realised - as they closed about an hour later - that I knew one of their staff members. Luckily I'm not entirely unintelligent, so I managed to find the bar myself, but even there the service was a little sloppy... Being in hospitality and F&B myself, I think that management could start with a few pointers, before they even start training the staff...
