I'm always sceptical of restaurants with excellant views as they often tend to have very mediocre food and service. Sad to say, Polana lived up to this stereotype. A large group of us had dinner for a friend's birthday, and the service was in a word, shocking. Having arrived at 8pm, the evening started off with insufficient seating, despite the fact we had reserved a table for 20. After more than an hour of waiting, we finally had to ask for some bread, and dinner itself arrived well after 10pm! Had it not been a friend's birthday, I honestly would not have bothered. The ambience and location are just fantastic – such a pity that the restaurant rests on these laurels.
