A wonderful hidden gem Located in Parktown, just behind La Cucina di Ciro is a wonderful little gem called The Pudding Shop. From the moment you enter this little restaurant you’re greeted by a warm ambience and a rich aroma of freshly prepared meals. Once you’re in there, you don’t really want to leave. The service is impeccable, the food is divine and the atmosphere is one of complete comfort. It’s a Vegan restaurant but caters for us bacon lovers as well J It may have taken a while to get to my mouth, but I’ve found the best French toast on this side of the parks… What was placed in front of me was a plate of perfect French toast—crispy round the edges, custardy in the center, and capped off with an amber kiss of maple syrup. It was a thing of breakfast time beauty. While the service and the food were incredibly great, it doesn’t change the fact that the space is a little small and gets extremely busy on weekends. Make a booking and be prepared to wait.
