A long awaited Tappas style restaurant in the Winelands! Get there at sunset to soak in the views of the mountains across the colourful scarecrows in the strawberry fields!
The menu has a delicious selection of Tapas and pizzas. A novel addition is the interesting desert Tapas, which we have not tried yet.
The calamari, serviche and pulled beef sandwhich/burger were all beautifully presented and delicious.
The pizzas are generous and for Tappas, ideal to share. Unusal & interesting toppings include local cheeses and nuts.
The wine-list is short and fairly well represented, but we would like to see more of the neighbouring producers represented. The list of local miro-brewery beers is interesting, we tried the beer tasting where 8 generous sample glasses were offered in 2 flights of 4. A tasting was an adequate accompaniment to the tappas. Try the 'real' ginger beer, deliciously refreshing, but a little sweet to accomany the food.
The service staff are friendly and professional, but the service from the kitchen is unacceptably slow. On a warm night mosquitos were a problem, so arm yourself with some repellant! Despite the latter negatives, we'll be back as 'regulars'!
