The Vineyard Hotel’s Garden Lounge

We are regular visitors to this gem. Setting is spectacular with amazing views of the mountains and the well designed and manicured gardens. However the quality of the food leaves a lot to be desired. Five of us ate on a recent Friday evening with 3 portions of Thai curry and two beef burgers. Without exception the food was found to be poor. The curry ranged from inedible to just plain tasteless. All were ordered with the extra chicken which was difficult to find. I had the burger which I ordered medium rare....and emphasised this point to the waitress. The beef served was so overdone that it was as tough as rubber and inedible. I should have known as I had ordered one on a previous visit the week before (I thought they could not seriously destroy a burger twice in a row), and here they delivered a chicken burger in error, and returned with a beef burger within 3 minutes. This was also inedible. They need to take a serious look at what is going on in the kitchen. We will return .....but for drinks only.
