I was initially resistant to add a review as already the good reputation of this restaurant is well known and as a result we struggle to get reservations for the restaurant when we're in Bettys. However, the harshness that some reviews have spewed may be their perception, but we've been going to the restaurant for so many years and I can't believe this is the same venue we go to. There are several restaurants in the strip from Pringle to Kleinmond and Arabella and the only ones worth attending for a dependably good meal and service are at Arabella and The Tides. Ask any local who frequents these. In my experience, treating restaurateurs with dignity and respect will go much further in getting an unsuitable situation remedied. If you do try them, I highly recommend our favourite starter - the snails and gorgonzola with the chefs home made focaccia!
