Store description

It’s unique. That’s why it has remained a favourite with regulars. It’s produce- rather than deli-driven, with many farmers selling their organically grown products or the finest meat directly to the shoppers. It is a constantly expanding proposition with stalls appearing or disappearing from time to time. Discover from the finest artisan cheese, the best boerewors in the region, flowers ranging from giant proteas to sweet-smelling sweetpeas, traditional fare like melkkos or crackling as well as a selection of Italian breads. Find eggs with butter yellow yolks, pancakes or Belgian waffles to savour on the spot and stock up on seedlings for the garden.
Ethical shopper tip: You can’t get it fresher than this. But go early – they sell out.
