Owners description

Inspired by the likes of Schillers Liquor Bar in New York and Dandelyan Bar in London, the new space on the corner of Bree and Pepper Street is designed to offer Capetonians a spot to have a drink and bite before, or after, a night out. The Arcade kitchen will be open from 10am to 11pm Monday to Saturday, and the bar will remain open until 2am on Thursdays and Saturdays. The menu will focus on cafe-style food - think chicken pregos and rolled beef fillet, plus pizzas, burgers and salads. On the drinks side of things, the team is planning some classic and new cocktails, shots and SAB beer on tap.

  • Had the most delicious pizza, our crew of 6 turned up with two young kids and the staff were more than accommodating for us to be there! The atmosphere was pumping and I really enjoyed the neon vibe throughout. Thank you Arcade , looking forward to another great night out !

  • Great place for after work drinks with funky chill vibe and friendly service. We had some burgers which were good but not mind blowing. The patties were a bit chewy and the fries on the oily side. However they have interesting burger combinations on the menu that might set them apart from the other 101 burger spots in Cape Town.

  • the waitress was terribly scared of us because we were people of colour, so we felt out of place and left. will go when it's empty though, food looks great. it was first thursdays (and my friend's first first thursdays) and they were terrified, and it was the first place we went into. I'm sorry we had this experience, because it really looked rather lovely inside.
