BeerYard is known for its really delicious burgers and thin-crust pizzas. All the food is freshly prepared on-site using only the finest local ingredients.
The gorgonzola burger is made from 100% charred pure beef patty, a tangy gorgonzola sauce, crispy bacon and fresh rocket on a toasted white bun. All burgers are served with crisp and chunky fries and onion rings (you can also order zucchini fries, sweet potato fries or a side salad).
Pizzas are also a great option to try. The butternut, olive, Danish feta, caramelised onion and basil pesto pizza is a great option for vegetarians. The pizza is a thin-crust hand-tossed base topped with mouth-watering ingredients.
BeerYard offers great food at a reasonable price. Each dish has its very own flavor and this distinct taste cannot be found at any other establishment. The food is always fresh and delicious.
The Buddha Bowls are also worth a try – these are served with crisp shredded lettuce, carrots, cucumber, cabbage, onion, avo, feta, sesame seeds, couscous and the BeerYard secret dressing. You can also choose from vegetables, chicken, tuna, salmon or fillet steak to add as a meat option.
BeerYard does not have a very extensive dessert selection, which is rather disappointing if you have a sweet tooth.
This establishment is known for its extensive craft beer selection. Most of the in-house beers are brewed at the family’s own brewery. There’s also a Happy Hour from 5pm to 6pm every day, with a few beers available at R28 a pint. There are limited wines and bubbly available and Yard Tails, made in-house at Beer Yard are also on the cards. There are also a number of different spirits available. Non-alcoholic options are also available on request.
The service at BeerYard is always exceptional and friendly. Young waitrons are full of energy and the food and drinks are served with urgency. All employees are also willing to help with special requests and are ready to answer any questions you may have.
BeerYard is not one of those quiet restaurants. The casual spot is always filled with interesting people and interesting conversations flowing. There’s a buzz in the restaurant and the eclectic décor lends itself to the very unpretentious menu. You can find live music at BeerYard on Wednesdays, Thursdays and on Saturday nights.
