Spent my birthday afternoon there for a couple of drink and something to eat, the seared salmon is a must try
We went to Blu Saffron for our anniversary. It was by far one of the best evenings with amazing food and the best service. This restaurant is a must visit if you are looking for great ambience, service and food! I left there wishing the night had not gone quite that fast as I would have loved to start all over again from starters to desert :)
The chef is superb, and takes you on a culinary journey as he describes the dishes he prepares. The food is well executed and is worth the trip. Not sure if it's a place worth visiting twice but certainly a restaurant to put on the to do list.
    Excellent food, great atmosphere.

There is a wide range of food and whiskey, and the prices are very reasonable.

Was able to sit in the bar chatting to the owners after dinner.

All in all, an excellent evening.
The night started off nicely and the food was good. However, I was not told at the time I made the booking that a wedding party would take over the restaurant. By the end of the night we had to fight our way through a crowd of loud wedding guests just to get to the bathroom.

Service to our table was all but cancelled by the time the wedding guests had finished their mains, loudly flocked to the dessert buffet six feet away from our table, and found it appropriate to infiltrate all penetrable areas. When I asked if the volume of the music of the wedding party could be turned down a bit (different music was playing elsewhere after all), I was dismissed with a "whatcha gonna do? lol!" attitude by the teenage waitress.

No one found it necessary to inform me that we would be of peripheral interest in light of the all-encompassing wedding reception. If they had, at least I would've known what to expect or could have made alternative arrangements. But Blu Saffron thought it better to get the extra turnover for the night instead of also keeping other guests' interests in mind.

My birthday get-together was basically ruined. I'll definitely not support Blu Saffron again
