Owner's description

Sundowner drinks on the deck of the Blue Peter is a Cape Town tradition, and when you first clap eyes on this places amazing post-card pretty view of Table Mountain, you'll understand why. Order a couple of ales and be mezmerised by the rolling surf.

Great location, awesome vibe. But never experienced such slow service in my life. We waited more than 15 minutes for our drinks and they didnt even arrive, the waiter just came to tell us that they are changing kegs or something, so we then changed our drink order to something that doesnt require gas. Again, they took like 15 minutes to bring the drinks. We ordered our food, I had the Al Fredo pasta, it was absolutely horrible, it tasted like it had seafood in, I didnt finish my food. Gave it to the car guard as a doggy bag. My partner ordered fish and chips. The fish was very floury and tasted like it had been grilled straight from frozen. Great place, staff just need to pay more attantion when it gets busy.
Best location for a beer. Food is however overpriced and the service is terrible.
Great atmosphere for a social occasion.
First place I visited when moving to the Cape. Great view great food great fun for humans and furbabies. The pizza is tops and beer always served cold
A great Ambiance rating because of how lucky they are to have this magnificent spot in Blouberg. One can easily overlook how spectacular this view is for a lazy evening sundowner, accompanied by, technically, very decent pizza. The vibe is also great, proper buzzy especially in season. But that's where the excitement of the menu and surroundings stop and the ridiculous lack of service take over to make it an overall bad experience. It's a shame, because this place has amazing potential and one of the best spots (location wise) just out of CBD.
