  • What a fabulous spot! Ian, our waitron on the day, was superb. He went way beyond the call of duty. Starter cream cheese with chips a tasty and fun way to start the meal - as is the olive bread that comes free of charge. Burgers big and tasty, but perhaps leaning a smidgen to the side of rare, even when ordered medium. Prawns to die for! Nice chunky portion of prawns that actually require you to use your mandibles. On special during Winter for R165. Sirloin on the bone perhaps the only slightly disappointing meal. Again more toward rare than medium, which is fine, but not when it's still a bit cold and a tad tough. Creme Brule delicious. Wine list extensive and pretty well priced. We'll be back for sure

  • Love the new decor and feel of the restaurant, really a more vibrant feel. Food was good and service great. Served by the same outstanding staff of Pepenero.

  • What a breath of fresh air. I love the revamp that this place has gone through. The new decor is fresh and bright, the food is amazing with some old, familiar faces who’ll make you feel welcome and looked after AND a stunning view.

  • First visit to Bobo's after its opening in December 18. My wife and I were there for lunch on 9th January. Very impressed with the new décor and ambiance - much improved on the old Pepenero's. Menu is attractive and pricing of both food and wine is reasonable. We ordered 2 main courses - one was veal and the other calamari tubes which was the chef special. Both were outstanding. My wife followed up with lemon tart which was presented beautifully and tasted 5 star. Overall the service and service personnel [Mike served us] were efficient and pleasant to deal with. BUT - my wife's veal came standard with rice which she doesn't eat, and when we asked for frites instead we were told that 'we don't do swaps', so we had to order frites as an additional side dish. End result the food came with a bowl of rice which we didn't want, and a side dish of frites that could have comfortably fed 4. Come on guys, this is surely not the way to manage customers in a highly competitive market. It was an unnecessary blot on an otherwise excellent experience.
