Cafe41 turned out just right for us. A Sunday lunch which had to cater for a vegan, two teenagers and a " grumpy old fart". Everybody was more than satisfied. Well done !
A brunch get together with a couple of friends lured us to Cafe' 41 ... first time for me at this branch. The Trinchado never fails to impress ... just the right amount of spicyness to give a little "bite" in the throat. Some find the price a bit high R79 for a Meze size but I find it quite filling and worth the spend. The cappuccinos were good ... frothy and hot, although the latte' definately appears to have been made extra hot (not requested) in a microwave, simply because it is a fact that it can only be visibly boiling on serving if that is done. 15 minutes later it was still undrinkable and we had to ask for cold milk. The English breakfast certainly filled a plate and whether by fluke or not represented a smiling face on serving. The pizza breakfast was enjoyed by my son, but at 16 he would have liked it to be a little more substantial. Our waiter had a smile that would have lit up Loftus in the evening and it never wavered. Nice venue, nice location. Worth a return.
