Critic's review

Food
There’s a select menu plus daily specials with delectable options such as the butternut and wild sage risotto, confit duck or a modern beef or chicken curry described as ‘a pot of spice’. The snack platter is a good option for two to share as a light lunch or a starter. Line fish of the day and kudu fillet are also highly recommended.

Wine
There is a small selection with average prices.

Service
Excellent and professional; the staff are very knowledgeable.

Ambience
There is an opulent look and feel, with a vibrant atmosphere every day of the week. The interior, together with the wooden floors and finishes, creates a contemporary and comfortable space. Outside seating is available.

And...
Patrons return frequently due to consistent great service and food. (CR, October 2012)

  • Wow wow wow! Used to come here quite often with family, but then the menu got a bit dull (stayed the same for quite a while). Saw that they updated it April this year and went last night to try it out. IT WAS SPECTACULAR! Had the meze platter as a starter. For mains we had the seared salmon and the pork belly. The latter was like eating heaven! Perfect portions. We took our own bottle of MCC and corkage was super reasonable. Going back soon. XXX

  • I just have to give Cafe Beyritz a gold star for outstanding service, well prepared delicious food and making any meal at their restaurant extra special. We celebrated my mom's birthday with a breakfast and from the moment we sat down we had excellent service, the manager was brilliant and there was not one problem. We have been there for dinner on another occasion and the service and food was just as brilliant. I will recommend them to anyone who is looking for a delicious meal in a beautiful setting.

  • Me and my wife was there during the first week too. Still one of my favorites in Pretoria. Unique blend of African and French decor and food. Look out for the amazing shotgun shell counter.

  • Searched for the best Eggs Benedict place to go in Pretoria. Cafe Beyritz was recommended - will probably not go back. Besides the eggs benedict the coffee was also disappointing.

  • They make a perfect chocolate fondant, and that alone is worth going back for, although everything else I ordered was also great.
