Favourite place for breakfasts.... We love the view upstairs and good service
Used to be a big fan, but when the manager shrugs his shoulders regarding a customer complaint and doesn't bother to call the owner and when you finally after waiting 30 minutes do get to complain to the owner and he makes no effort to rectify the problem then this is not the dinning out experience for me. Food is ok - have had good, average and bad meals there - however dinning out should be a relaxed situation. Was not the case on this visit and have given head office and branch ample time to call me back to try resolve or at least hear me out. No response from either. So not returning to any Doppio branch in a big hurry. Luckily in Bedfordview lots of other options.
Dappio Zero (In Bedford) was probably one of my worst experiences. We came in with high expectations and what we ran into was horrific! There were pieces of glass on the floor of our table and even some on the couch. My partner ordered some pork neck which resulted in food poisoning and the waiter tried to overcharge me on wine which my partner didn't order. The lamb chops i had were hardly even seasoned and the overall experience was just terrible

On Thursday I had a buniness lunch meeting. Eating out 3 times a day can be a challenge to the waistline so I ordered a salmon and avo salad with extra goats cheese. The presentation and quality of the ingredients was very good, however several mouthfulls of the lettuce was very 'griity'. I complained to the waitress who promised to investigate the matter. When she brought the bill, she stated that the salad hadn't been deducted, when I asked why she she said the manager wasn't interested. I asked for his name and immediately and he arrived at the table. He went on to explain that the products are properly cleaned before serving (implying that I was imagining the sand in the salad). I find this attitude very poor and should be rectified. I don't need a freebie lunch, on Thurday I spent over R5,000 on entertaining.

Doppio Zero Bel Air is a new Doppio which in its infancy has proved itself as a brilliant all-rounder for breakfast, lunch, coffee and Dinner had them all and never been disappointed in their service food or ambience.
