Hashi Fusion is all about creating a fresh concept around traditional sushi and seafood. They have worked to create delicious, beautifully presented dishes served in a welcoming atmosphere. Their menu blends ancient Japanese techniques with the exotic ingredients and flavors which characterizes South American cuisine; a combination that results in an amazing new culinary experience.

Having read the reviews above thought it good to stop for lunch. The fact that there were no other people should have alerted me! Started with Miso soup which definitely was not fresh. It was so salty that it literally was inedible. Then tried some sushi. The rice was dry and hard and staff admitted that it from the previous day. Also, the sushi was slapped together unappealing - any Japanese chef worth the title would turn in his grave. Decided then to try prawn and fish tempura. This was acceptable but for NO prawns. Sorry, but this was a real let down. I will never go there again.

This is definitely in my top 10 restaurants in Johannesburg. Every single dish is delicious, and I have always had exceptional service.
Tonight, I mentioned to the waitress, Bridget, that I was disappointed that one of their dishes (salmon tartar) that had been on their menu when they first opened, was no longer available. The owner immediately went into the kitchen and made it for us - and it was as fabulous as I had remembered! It's a pity that the low traffic past the restaurant entrance means that it's seldom full, as it is a gem!
