Owner's description

Say Hello! to Port Elizabeth’s contemporary Kitchen & Bar on buzzing Main Road Walmer. We do contemporary fusion food in a beautifully curated space. Our bar offers ‘Farmacy’ smoothies as well as boozy options; with craft beer & cider from local microbrewery, Bridge Street. We not only offer delicious food but retail from local ceramists with more exciting homeware on the way this year. Our house blend of coffee beans are fair-trade and make a stellar cuppa. We support local wherever possible and believe in making simple, beautiful food with high-quality fresh ingredients. We also offer plant-based eaters lots to choose from.

Visitor to PE. We read reviews for Hello, it's me and decided to make a reservation for dinner. Dinner came. I had a lamb burger - as dry as the karoo it probably came from. The zucchini fries came as a bunch of batter drenched in oil. My mother-in-law had the salmon, which was undercooked (when she specifically asked it to be cooked through when she ordered). My sister had the pork belly noodles which looked like a half portion of food, and was pretty much all fat and oil (the staff did say they noticed it was a lot of fat when it was being prepared, but nothing was said to us nor was anything done about it before it got to the table). My husband has the Thai red curry, and his was the only palatable food our table got. Please note that all the dishes we ordered were recommended as being great by the waiter. But this is not all. 10 minutes after eating our food, my sister and I went through to the bathroom and threw up the food we had. Nothing was said about the fact that the food was the worst we've experienced in PE (and we've been coming here for years, even lived here for a few). The bill wasnt reduced, no complementary coffee was offered, NOT EVEN A GLASS OF TAP WATER. Needless to say that we are truly disappointed and will not recommend this restaurant nor be back.
My favorite go to in PE for a perfect coffee and delicious noodles! The pork belly noodles and Tom Yum noodle broth on their new menu are winners! Staff are always friendly and the extra mile to make sure your experience is the best PE has to offer.
Beautiful space with a modern industrial feel. Great house blend coffee and healthy smoothies. The menu is so unique and caters for meat lovers and vegan. The Dishes are beautifully presented and the flavors are exiting and fresh. Breakfast, lunch or dinner it is a must do in PE.
