I went to this restaurant because I did not want to lleave Durban without having a roti. Should have skipped the carbs because while I was trying to eat there was a drunk man there harassing another lady and all the staff from waiters to staff to security stood around and did nothing to stop him. If you want unwanted attention as a side dish definitely go there. Otherwise spend your many where the owners care about your safety
Devine Curries in Durban, you must try it out, totally different way of cooking.
House of curry set in the bustling florida road in the heart of Durban. It has an amazing vibe for both young and old. The food is delicious ranging from curry bunny shows, chip chows and drinks that keep flowing from the ever so busy bar.. This restaurant is a must when visiting Durban.

I ate at this restaurant on 27 December 2015 with a group of friends. The place was buzzing, despite it being a Sunday. I was desperately hoping it would not be a dark and dingy dining room with limp white tablecloths and gilt gold and red embroidering. Instead it is a bright, modern, casual place. Now to the food, I ordered the Lamb Breyani and it was excellent, beautifully cooked and spiced rice and very generous with the lamb. The dhall could use some improvement and was a bit gloopy for my liking. Everyone else had the famous Durban Bunny Chows and excitedly reported that they were fantastic, albeit a bit dry and needing more sauce. Another friend who ordered the prawn curry bunny, which I sampled, said that hers was very good, and it was. All n all, it was an excellent night out and great value for money. I have to agree with the other reviewers in that the waiters are lacking somewhat.

Very dissapointed with my take away order which was a mutton, chip and cheese roti. My Fiancé and I had terrible stomach cramps and I had a severe case of food poisoning. After many years of supporting H.O.C I have never had this problem, but clearly the standards have dropped in the kitchen and something needs to be done about it!
