If delicious family-style fare is what you’re after then Jonny’s is where you need to be. Jonny’s has a very diverse menu, but what runs through the entire theme is flavour and quality. Whether you order seafood, steak or pasta, rest assured you’ll be served great-quality ingredients prepared perfectly, and presented humbly and consistently.
Jonny himself is at the restaurant all day ensuring that the dishes are executed to perfection and he creates new dishes himself.
For starters, try the fish cakes, large pieces of poached salmon, lightly crumbed and fried until crisp then served with sweet chilli sauce or the creamy chicken livers served with hot Portuguese rolls. The platters are fabulous to share, laden with perfectly cooked haloumi, skewers, calamari, chicken wings, olives and feta.
A must-try main course is the creamy peri peri fillet: large cubes of fillet served in a peri peri and cream sauce, served with a starch of your choice. The seafood is outstanding and always fresh, so ask for the fish of the day, or if your preference is meat, there’s always a perfectly aged steak ready to go on the grill. The chalkboard will have a great list of specials on offer too.
There’s an average wine list that caters to most budgets. Soft drinks and basic beverages are readily available.
The service at Jonny’s is always great. The staff know the menu well and can answer questions about any of the dishes.
