I live in New Zealand. But when I visit Johannesburg I always choose accomodation close to Lambrusco's. "res ipsa loquitur"

My 19 yr old son and his girlfriend booked a table as it was girlfriends birthday, as he did not want to go to a 'food court'' in a mall. Retrospect, I mistakenly booked Lambyscos Fir dr Northcliff, and informed them it was his girlfriends birthday and to book a nice table for 2. They spent R300.00. They were treated disgustingly, watched for the whole hour just because they are young. I might add that when we went there with regular customers, we were treated with the owners presence, wow, sitting down at our table. Well Lambrysco's these 19 year olds are your future customers. DISGUSTING TREATMENT. Oh and food is average but expensive.

Terrible service. We were amazed and alarmed by the state of the waiting staff at Lambrusco's. While the signage and the look of the restaurant paint one picture, the staff create a very different reality. They are not interested, badly informed and not right for the restaurant. The food is ok, but very expensive. The owner has developed quite a reputation for being rude and abusive.

I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A BAD RESTURANT EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE! DO NOT GO HERE! I used to be a regular at this restaurant, until recently the prices shot up to ridiculously to an average of R150 a meal. The owner is arrogant, abrasive and rude. I found a hair in my R104 pasta and when made a complaint, I had the owner shout at me telling me he wouldn't make another. This is after enquiring where the sun dried tomotoes were in my pasta, being told sarcastically that they chopped up finly and I must "dig deeper". Bad service, bad food. Very disappointed.

Our favourite restaurant. We have been there several times and have never been disappointed. Raffaele and his team are great hosts. Ask for veal pizzaiolo ... a dish from heaven.
