User reviews

  • Popped in on Friday for a takeaway, on recommendation of a colleague who couldn't believe I'd never been. It's a traditional takeaway without any of the frills, with a queue out the door. You get more than what you pay for - R39 for the small fish and chips, which was so generous, I couldn't finish it. Two pieces of fish cooked perfectly with a crisp light batter with proper slap chips. Said colleague was appalled by my lack of vinegar, but the bright pink tom sauce a la Wimpy did the trick instead! (Extra charge for sauce).

  • I've just found a millipede in my chip from Lusitania and i took it back in hopes they would at least apologize and offer me my money back. Instead it was thrown back at my face and i was told, it's a root of a potato and it hasn't been cleaned properly. My colleagues and i saw legs and a head and they quite adamantly emphasized that there are no legs there.

Well Lusitania, you've just lost out on a customer together with a full company, who are now more disgusted at the fact that there was no apology more than what i found.

  • It looks like another dodgy fish and chip joint from the outside, but trust me, the fish and chips are a hundred percent better than you'll find in most more upscale restaurants. The slap chips are great with lashings of vinegar.
