  • One of the prettiest cafés in town with a menu and service to match! We love sitting outside on the sidewalk at their beautiful marble tables on a sunny day, or curled in a window corner on a cold and rainy day. Don't miss this gem when visiting Stellenbosch!

  • Meraki is without a doubt the most chic coffee shop in the Stellenbosch region! From the menu to the store design, it is evident that extensive effort has gone into curating an elegant experience for the consumer (how'd you like that for alliteration?). The Meraki team are always more than friendly and I have experienced nothing but consistently delightful service over the past year of being a patron. If you are in the Stellenbosch region, I would highly recommend popping in for breakfast - particularly for their famous eggs benedict - or a sweet snack!

  • I can't let a week go past, without having visited Meraki. The food and pastries are filled with flavor and you don't have to wait until summer, in order to try the creamy ice creams from the fridge.

  • Meraki is a place very close to my heart. Not only do they have amazing food and coffee, but you always feel welcome when you are there, whatever time of day, the staff is very friendly. When one sits at Meraki you feel as if you are part of the town Stellenbosch, the view is beautiful with the bustling street, and students walking up and down. It is a great way to start or end ones day or if you are like me, start and end your day at Meraki. Plus their cakes and pasteries are to die for!!!

With seriously tasty food, spot on coffee and a killer interior to match Meraki really does live up to the hype. And then there is the pastry case full of to die for treats... you have to try the mini coconut cake! Trust me, you will not regret it!

  • Meraki is not just any place but rather a home to those who cherish friendship along with good food and drink. The idea of one person executed with "love and passion" has changed how we think about food and drink. It is a sure favorite for me when in need of a space to reconnect with friends and family or just to break away from the daily rat race. Thank you Team Meraki for your dedication and passion everyday! To many more years on Ryneveld Street.

  • Visiting Meraki is a respite from the craziness + demands of life. You walk into a beautiful Scandi-inspired space, perfectly balanced with touches of greenery + colour which makes one want to snuggle up with a cup of Legado coffee + never ever leave. Friendly + attentive staff contributes to a wonderful dining experience. The menu changes seasonally + only the freshest produce is used to prepare flavourful + aesthethically pleasing dishes. You can take your pick between scrumptious breakfasts, delicious sandwiches and inventive salads (in winter keep an eye out for soups to die for!!!). Portions are generous + attention is paid to detail - the beauty of Meraki is that the foods tastes as good as it looks. The sweet treats are a highpoint all by itself. A big variety of cakes (gluten free options included) are displayed in a beautiful glass case - rivalling any French pastry shop. Spoiled for choice, with every cake/pastry/cookie better more delectable than the next - you might want to order more than one and share - as it is just so hard choosing only 1!!! Meraki has become a beacon of happiness + delight in the hustle + busy of Stellenbosch and one can almost not remember what life was like before their doors were opened.

  • I always walk the extra block to Meraki during lunch - knowing it will always be worth it. The food, pastries and mann - the cortados...divine! The Meraki locals have become friends and we return daily for our cup of love. Thanks Corlandi and Melissa for going the extra mile to keep us happy.

  • Meraki allows you that little bit of me time in a busy day. The pioneers of the Cortado coffee, they never disappoint the palette and add to the happiness in your daily morning stroll to work. Nestled under the famous oak trees in the centre of the heritage circle of Stellenbosch, it is safe to say that they are the heartbeat of the stellenbosch locals. I think that which makes Meraki special - is that she has rooted herself beyond her competition, as the food she bosoms, is always comforting. No matter the mood, Meraki's menu always complements. The food is seasonally fresh and with Corlandi's passion for perfection, with an edge, it reflects within planning her menu every season. With Meraki's fast service and great food, a natural ambience of chatting and laughing is a given. I would describe Meraki as the beautiful girl next door. Elegant but down to earth. Thank you for adding to my daily happiness. With love and passion.

  • Literally, literally, my favourite hangout in all of Stellenbosch. And, trust me, in Stellies we are spoilt for choice... From light snacks, to wholesome and healthy meals, to pastries (worlds best croissants) and an incredible selection of eats and treats. I am meandering my way through the breakfast and lunch menu's on a daily basis and we as cyclists are perpetually drawn to Meraki by it's famous Cortado (coffee) and freshly squeezed Mrs. Beetlemint juice. It's a one stop get it all cafe with friendly staff (whom all know me by name) and great ambience. Corlandi too, as the owner and face of the cafe takes the time to make small talk with almost all her customers even when the place is a buzz with customers, she somehiw manages to keep her finger on the pulse. Top show guys, love it!

  • Meraki is one of my favourite restaurants where I can eat all of my favourite food, some that I can't even find in the stores. I love the way that Corlandi and her team incorporates the season into their menu and Harvest Table. They are always 'en pointe' with what food is popular, new and exciting. I love seeing what they come up with. Meraki's ambience is incredibly warm hearted and friendly. It feels like having a meal in your family kitchen.

  • Meraki is one of those places that naturally becomes your home away from home after the second visit. Situated in central town, one can easily make it your base to plan your day from and know that there will be wholesome and hearty food to nourish. Their menu is always evolving as they grow and they are dedicated to serving fresh and seasonal plates of food, freshly baked pastries and a good cup of coffee to complete the experience. They believe in doing simple things good and that is what makes this beautiful and unpretentious space such a warm and welcoming place that always bring you back for more.

  • I love this little eatery, it my favorite place in Stellenbosch to grab a quick coffee, have a lunch with friends or even take associates for an afternoon meeting. The decor is fresh and inviting, in fact it somehow feels like home making it comforting to return to again and again. The food is consistently sensational, thoughtfully designed menu with great variety. The food is prepared with care, the ingredients are high quality and the produce fresh and local. Despite going all of the time I never know what to choose! I love the fact that the tried and true favorites are kept on the menu while others delights are trailed on a regular basis. The harvest table is wonderful and it is a fast and affordable way to eat a delicious, healthy home-cooked meals on a tight schedule. The baked goods are exceptional, I love the churros and their coconut cake is to die for! All in all Meraki deserves to make Eat Out's list - it is rising star on the eatery scene in Stellenbosch and its charm and consistency makes it a favorite for locals

  • Meraki is the epitome of a typical Stellenbosch cafe, nestled in a quaint street. The ambience and atmosphere is truly a breath of fresh air, with its white colour theme, large glass windows and modern furniture. The breakfasts are a MUST- personally a favourite destination if one is desiring a value for money, delicious and healthy dish. Service is fast, efficient and very friendly. Their buffet table is also sublime, with freshly cooked lunches and something for everyone's taste buds! My ultimate recommendation if you're looking for an outing.

  • One of the best coffee and light meals 'smaller' restaurants in Stellenbosch. As good as eating at home. Corli and staff are always friendly and ready to serve even the most particular guest.
Because it is so popular, try to come before or after the regular lunch hour rush.
