Owners description

Upbeat and urban, the new Obz Cafe restaurant is situated in the heart of Observatory. So come for a visit, sit down, enjoy the friendly vibe and great food and become part of the Obz Cafe family.

Obz Café has been an iconic landmark of Observatory for the past twenty years.

Newly refurbished with a New York-type feel, restaurant décor is upmarket, yet relaxed. Exposed brick work adds to the bistro’s ambiance, while friendly wait staff and a terrific vibe all make for a great dining experience. For those preferring to dine al fresco, there is also sidewalk seating - where you can get the true sense of the bohemian suburb.

From slow cooked peri peri chicken, to grilled caramari, The menu is uncomplicated and caters to all tastes.Their thin crust pizzas are very popular and some have called their burgers ‘the best in town!’ (Try the Crunchy Munchy or the Nacho Burger) Wheat and gluten free pastas and pizzas are also available.

It’s the perfect spot for a casual business lunch or dinner, birthday party, romantic dinner or long boozy Sunday lunch. A place to cater for all seasons, the wood burning pizza oven ensures it’s always warm and cosy on those winter days and nights and air conditioning unit keeps it cool in the summer. The venue also has free wi-fi.

Experienced bar staff make great coffees and cocktails (Happy Hour week days from 4-7pm) and a selection of craft beers on tap make for a winning combination.
