Bokkoms, dried fruit and koeksisters are not all you’ll find here. Mainly a tourist shop decorated as an old-style Victorian trading store, it nevertheless has a useful foodie section with dry goods and alcoholic beverages. There are bags of bay leaves, star anise, nutmeg, coriander seeds and cinnamon bark along with some interesting preserves like hanepoot jam and moskonfyt. There’s a wine small section at the back where you’ll also find boegoe brandy and a few unusual liqueurs.
Smart shopper tip: don’t dare take a photograph: the shop assistants are like Dobermans.
Remember that your rating will influence the restaurant's ranking and chances of being recognised as one of the Eat Out Mercedes-Benz Best Everyday Eateries.
