Went to this place yesterday as they had a Turkish festival on. Really looked forward to a grand meal, but was utterly disappointed. So many things on the menu that where unavailable. Waitresses unhelpful and had to be flagged down. Took 45 minutes to bring my kids water. Kitchen and waitresses so un-clued up as to what's happening. Food arrived slowly and for me, the taste profile was pathetic, Everything we ordered tasted the same. If you ordered chicken, beef, mince - it all had the exact same flavour profiles. The Turkish tea, I swear is Earl Grey tea with a hint of cinnamon....Pathetic food, even worse dining experience. Front Desk manager, kept walking past us but gave Turkish consumers favourable attention. They walked in 20 minutes after us and got food first. bottles of water where placed in front for them and fresh bread with dip. I was told it would take 25 minutes for a plate of chips......seriously.....25 minutes....for CHIPS. Will not be dining there ever again and will not encourage others to spend their hard earned money in a very disorganised place.
Different experience , Pade was good , Turkish bread a treat , surprised though that everything we wanted on the mens was not available, basics like Humus??? had to then ask what was available ? Worth a visit even if for the Turkish experience...

After strolling through the gorgeous mosque next to the Ottoman Palace, we had dinner. The restaurant's decor is cold and more like a cafeteria .. could do a lot more. BUT the food!! We had some bread with 2 dips - unfortunately I didn't ask what it was. The one dip was yoghurty, the other one dark red, so it could have been eggplant-red bell pepper. But it was soo yummy. We were 4 people, so we order 4 platters with a bit of everything on it. Some chicken drumsticks, some chicken kebabs, swish kebabs, minute steak, riblets, flat meatballs, bulgar wheat on the bottom, grilled jalapenos, tomatoes, lettuce and flatbread with a topping. The chicken was unbelievable soft! It was like butter!!!!! Utterly delicious! The rest of the platter was really good and delicious, nicely flavoured. Dessert was Baklava (yummy), rice pudding (good), some other pudding and then - the highlight, dessert with cheese, Kunefe. It's baked in the oven, so it took a while. But it was utterly delightful!!!!!!!! You have to order this!!!!!! We all had cherry juice and I had Turkish coffee. The bill was R850 for 4 people, a total bargain. Really a must visit!

Wow! What a place, what an experience! This was a new adventure for my family and we just love the food, the atmosphere and the staff. Walking out to the mosque all lit up in fluorescent and the sound of prayer rounded off a great evening feast. Will definitely be back!
