  • We chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. We had been here 8 years prior and can notice a definite decline in the quality of food. For a treat we opted for the seafood platter for R795 and were greatly disappointed. The line fish was bland, the shellfish were sticking in their shells. No flavor! And the serving was small. Overall we could have eaten a better meal at Ocean Basket. On top of that we were placed in front of a door which the waiters kept going in and out of and have had flu for 3 days because of the cold draft. Overall great setting - but not good food.

  • Dined here for lunch as part of Restaurant Week. Absolute treat! Our first time at Pigalle and was no disappointment. I had the salmon fishcake served topped with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce on a bed of crisp veg with fried squid heads. The fishcake was coated in a crunchy layer of panko and was perfectly seasoned and flavored. The squid heads were rubbery though. But overall, the dish was delectable. For dessert I tucked into tiramisu, something I hadn't had in a while. Highly recommended! Creamy and perfectly soaked lady finger biscuits. The real kicker was the EXCELLENT service! Attentive and not over bearing. Very old school and sophisticated.
