Based previous review on this site, I was hesitant to go and try Royo Kloof. The place is neat and clean and since we went very early, there where almost no one there. There is a little bit of a communication problem due to some of the waiters that can really speak English but I was fine to point to the menu. If needed then the waiter just got the manager to come over and explain whatever I wanted to know about the food. I did however really enjoyed the food. I had Pork Chop Suey end my husband had Sweet & Sour pork with an order of rice on the side. We loved it and did not even have space for desert although they had a sweet Sago and coconut pudding that I now will have to go back to try.

Price was all right. Food was mostly mainland China style, somewhat subpar. Portions were reasonably big but they adjusted the prices of the dishes up without warning to suit my family size. Noodles too salty, fried pepper beancurd was tasteless, salt and pepper calamari was oddly soft, sweet and sour pork more flour than pork. All right if you're desperate for some Asian fare but overall experience was subpar.
