Absolutely amazing restaurant- the food was incredible and we will definitely be back. 😁
Going in I had no expectations of Saigon. Most reviews were mixed - some scathing, others glowing. However, from the minute we walked through the door, we were treated to exceptional service and hospitality from wait staff to the host and especially the manager. The real star of the evening was the food though! The complimentary prawn chips were among the best I've had - light, crisp and deliciously seasoned. We ordered a couple of dishes and ate family style. My favourites include the caramel pork, tempura veg and pork riblets. The perfect ending to the evening was the dessert plate. It was a smorgasbord of indulgent sweetness. We all loved the coconut ganache and the pavlova bomb. Saigon is highly recommended and will be back!

We had a terribly poor experience of food and service at Saigon Rivonia in December 2011. The tomyum soup was nothing but warm water and chilli powder with three prawns (no tomyum paste, lemon grass or vegetables). The "manager" said the kitchen staff didn't know how to make it! After waiting for an hour and 20 minutes our main order of beef and fish still did not arrive. When we asked the "manager" about it, he blamed the waiter, got stroppy with my husband and asked us to leave the restuarant. He said they were very busy. I counted four tables including ours of two people at each table. What a joke. The manager has no service skills, his kitchen is pathetic and I think the era of Saigon as an awesome restaurant is a faded memory. Save your money and go elsewhere. We will never go there again.

    Waste of money
Prawn skewers were covered with hard batter, suitable for fast food establishment. Steamed fish came as dry, tough brick. Steamed vegetables, to which waiter induced me taking advantage of the fact that I did not know that fish already comes with veggies, arrived without ordered garlic. And on the end waiter tried to force a tip - for what? Place to avoid.
