Owner's description
Located right on the Famous 16 Mile Beach on the West Coast, our Bedouin covered wooden deck overlooks the Salt pans in Yzerfontein. With the Atlantic Ocean behind you and ample birdlife before you in the Pans, sit and relax while we prepare the fresh seafood on open fires. There is access to the beach over the dunes, to enjoy a leisurely stroll whilst waiting on your next meal.

Not just another open air-seafood restaurant on the West Coast. Their seafood feast is amazing! Be sure to pack a jersey because it can get chilly. Bring your kiddies; they’ll love the beach in Yzerfontein.

We were a party of 13 on Easter Sunday. Nice place right on the beach. The starters were bread, butter and jams. Then the fish soup (very ordinary). Then the seafood buffet - mussels, prawns, calamari, fish cakes and salads. All quite nice but rather pedestrian. Finally, coffee and koeksusters - also pedestrian. Not worth R160 per head.
