Warning : food poisoning ! We (4 adults) had dinner on 21 Dec - we all had steaks with different (cream) sauces and side dishes. In the night that followed, 3 of us all get suddenly very ill and spent more time in the bathroom than in bed. Terrible ! We expect that the cream sauces caused the problems, but it could have been anything really. The next day, I contacted the hotel to inform that there was something seriously wrong with the hygienic standards in their kitchen and to ask them to take responsibility and propose a compensation for the suffering we experienced. The reply I got was very disappointing : "we received your allegations", "send us the doctors report" etc etc. Symptoms of food poisoning are easy to recognise and when 3 out of 4 diners have the same symptoms at the same moment, then the restaurant should have acknowledged the problem and act responsibly. They didn't.... Thinking back of our dinner, an alarm bell should have gone off when I was waiting for my ice cream dessert : when it arrived, it was more like an ice cream 'soup' then ice cream scoops. I asked the waiter what happened and he explained they had problems with the cooling system in the kitchen. I refused the dessert and it was sent back to the kitchen. I reported all this to the restaurant but they deny all responsibility. If this happened to us, it could happen to you as well, so : better to avoid then to regret. Unworthy of a place with a 4/5 star rating.

Unfortunately we had less than a pleasant experience. There was only 1 on-the-bone cut available. Only pepper sauce avaialble to accompany the steaks. The steaks lacked seasoning. Was cooked correctly to the desired temperature.
Visited on Sunday 23rd June. When we entered nobody at the door to receive us. After a few minutes we we assisted to a table. All of the on the bone cuts were not available, even though lunch service starts at 12 and we arrived at 12:50. The dining room was smoke filled due to a failed attempt to make fire in the dining room. All but 3 pepper sauces were available to accompany the steaks, even though the menu says sauces ‘made to order’... After about 1 hour of waiting, our food arrived. The fillet steak had a boiled appearance with minimal char. Lacked seasoning, it was cooked to the desired temperature though. The 1 T-Bone was also cooked to the desired temperature, also however lacked seasoning. Overall a disappointing experience, will not return. The waiting staff was friendly.
The best steak I have ever had. You have so many options to choose from - dry or wet aged, on the bone or off the bone, grass fed or grain fed.... Then what type of steak... The waiter does explain all the differences, so one also learns a lot. The view is breathtaking. It's worth the drive.
