We were greeted at the door with a welcoming glass of champagne. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful. Tea is served on the patio overlooking the garden - white linen tablecloths, flowers on the table and heavy cutlery make it a very smart affair. Unfortunately the food was a major let down. The scones were as hard as rock and the brownies had no flavour. The cheese cake was definitely off. The savoury platter was not much better as the tartlets were cold and congealed and the sandwiches were made with shop bought, pre-sliced bread. A wonderful experience marred by the food.
