  • Had the best meal we have ever had! Thank goodness I live just around the corner and can go back again and again. For starters we had baked camenbert which was heavenly, and a delicious fresh salad. For mains I had fillet on the bone with a huge baked potato and pepper sauce and my husband had the Hollandse Biefstuk - delicious!! we can't wait to go back to Theo's!

  • Once I had heard Theo's came in the top 5 steakhouses in South Africa I had to go. We had a excellent meal and the service was very good. I can see why they won that award!

  • Took my team from work to Theos last night. We had an outstanding meal! The fillet was superb, prawns were fresh and cooked perfectly, lamb shank the most tender piece of meat and the rest were all just as delicious. Highly recommend Theos!

  • Don't go to Theo's Grill in Mouille Point! Revolting food, terrible service... we walked out tonight, hair in food, raw meat sent back and returned even more mauled with an entire bottle of basting sauce. Completely incompetent staff.... Waiter kicking a chair. Cold veg, starters never arrived! Have never experienced anything like it in my life, it was like we were watching a horror show. Don't go, don't waste your money and destroy an evening out!

  • After a long absence, we decided to take friends to Theo's in Mouille Point. While the food was very average, there is certainly a lot of room for improvement as far as presentaion is concerned. Given the usual choice of accompaniments, I opted for the veg. To be fair, our very friendly and efficient waitress did tell me that I would be getting the boring butternut and spinach combination, but since I'm not keen on potato I opted for it. I was however not prepared for the huge amounts that had literally been slapped onto the plate alongside my calamari - it looked as though 2 very large jars of baby food had been emptied onto the plate. Surely fresh, stir-fried or roast vegetables would look more appealing and taste a whole lot better.

  • We brought American guests to your restaurant last night. When we asked for the bill our guests said that they had settled it! That was about 10pm. Most patrons had left by then. We were still chatting to our guests and one of your staff turned the lights up bright (they were dimmed all evening). I thought this was very rude and asked them to please lower them again as we were still chatting to our guests. They dimmed them. When we left (which was not long afterwards) none of the staff said goodbye and thank you to us.

  • Had a wonderful evening - sat outside, the view and weather was amazing. Had the fillet on the bone and spare ribs with a side order of onion rings - delicious. Service was great and the owner came to clear our plates and check if everything was to our satisfaction. Will definitely go back!

  • Amazingly good prawns! My girlfriend and I decided to order the ribs and prawns to share, but we enjoyed the prawns so much that we ordered another kilo! Service was also fantastic.

  • Well where to start, being ignored on arrival while the hostesses continued their conversation. The less than edible chicken salad. I refuse to accept a beach front restaurant can fail at the basic concept. Oh and we were honoured to be place by the electricity box and thoroughlly enjoyed being asked to move to ensure the staff gain access. The best part of that lunch- was leaving the premises. For such an upmarket location, you would think they could employ staff who enjoyed being there. Im sorry for burdening you will my business, I will guarentee that in furture I will go elsewhere

  • 3 weeks matured steak... rather like 3 weeks rotten tuna. What kind of a restauranteur dishes up stinking rotten fish (sushi) 75 minutes after taking orders on a Friday night 9 o clock? What kind of a restaurant manager dont even bother to apologize for such disrespectful service? The manager did not seem sober either. Wake up Theos Moulipoint – youre on the way out.

  • This visit to Theos was not pleasant - the Carpaccio was sliced unevenly and too thick. It was also soggy and tasteless. The medium-rare sirloin was dry and tasted like papier-mâché. The crème-caramel dessert’s texture was that of a smooth crème-brulee and not what I ordered. The service was prompt and efficient, but the food failed to make the grade.

  • We used to eat at Theos often, but havent in ages. Today, I returned for another memorable meal - but unfortunately it will be memorable for the wrong reasons. I had the worst, driest, most boring chicken burger Ive ever eaten. Another diner had the worst Veal Limone Ive ever seen - it was grey and brown like dead flesh. I also tried it and it was sour, creamy but not lemony at all. The prawn special was good, though. All in all, it was a terrible disappointment and it was very expensive.

  • After they telephonically canceled my reservation about 10 years ago, I said I will never set foot in this establishment. Then a friend invited me and I enjoyed it thoroughly - a fantastic steak and wonderful service. I will most definitely visit again.

  • My visit to this restaurant was a bit like driving in an old car, of which you have the fondest of childhood memories, only to discover disappointing inadequacies dashing your childhood recollections. The service was lacklustre and very slow at best. Our waiter Cyril had a very good sense of humour and a very friendly demeanour but the kitchen is letting this guy down badly. 35 minutes to prepare two steaks when the restaurant in half full is unacceptable. Fortunately the drinks were cold and the action on the busy beach road was interesting. The wait would have been worth if the steaks had been any good but sadly this was not to be. Both sirloins where tough as new boots and the pepper sauce, was completely overpowered by unripe peppercorns, and unfortunately killed all other flavours. My straight-forward steak with no frills was accompanied by 1 sad piece of 2-day-old lettuce and a sloppy tomato with some well-fried chips.Where are the good old Theo days when one got well-hung steaks bursting with flavour? I was so looking forward to rekindling my wonderful youthful memories of this landmark brand but was hugely disappointed.

  • As a business group, we recently had our end of year function at Theos in Mouille Point. The food and service were absolutely superb. Our waitress went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure a fantastic lunch. I would highly recommend this venue and have been back since with my family for dinner.

  • Our party of 5 on a quiet night waited 1 hour for starters. The salads were sad & chicken wings sent back for being cold. Whilst these were being finished the mains arrived! I thought it difficult to maul straightfoward steaks - wrong. No ones meat had any real flavour & the accompanying potatoes were old & roasted in aged oil. We were shown a plate displaying 4 wilted desserts but declined. For this we paid the sort of money that procures a very good meal in many other establishments. We all felt very let-down & would strongly urge anyone else to check out their fellow diners plates before ordering anything here.
