Owner's description

Tjing Tjing Rooftop Bar, trading since 2011, was voted one of the best new bars worldwide by Conde Naste Traveler in 2012. Enveloped in wooden mansards, the old attic is an eclectic mix of new and old with a Japanese shrine-inspired red bar offset by a black and white Tokyo & Kyoto photo wall. The bar opens up to an airy outside rooftop terrace. Well known for its current indie and electronic music, expect a wide selection of bespoke cocktails, spirits, wine and otsumami.

Celebrated my boyfriends birthday at the rooftop bar. Food was delicious, rich and bold flavours. The barmen were friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Logan who went out of her way to keep the group happy, she was fantastic. The staff really made this a great experience!
Had a couple of fantastic cocktails here before heading downstairs to Tjing Tjing Torii to eat - we asked the bartenders for drinks suggestions based on our mood and he was very intuitive, with thoughtful, subtly flavoured concoctions! The Asian twist to the menu is wonderful and you’re sure to find a flavour combination you’ve never tried before, and will want to try again. Can definitely recommend.
One of the hottest rooftop bars in Cape Town, with a cocktail menu to die for! The service is fantastic, the cocktails are simply amazing (especially the litchi martini), and should you decide to order a nibble or two your tastebuds will be in for a treat.
Good food, Nice staff. Fun place.
I have been to The White Room a few times and loved it. So it was with a bit of trepedation that I went to the venue that replaced it. It was wonderful! The interior design was cleverly done in such a way that every time you look you see something new. I felt comfortable from the start. The fantastic service and a very impressive wine list was in line with previous visits. It was the food however that left the lasting impression. It was so different from The White Room, but it was to dream of! I will never be able to eat a hot dog again without thinking about those. Obviously the new chef is a gem. Everyone in our party agreed we are definately going back and soon. Well done on doing something brave and different!
