Owner's description
The trendy Greenside strip is home to Topo Gigio, an owner run and managed Italian restaurant offering delicious starters, pizzas and pastas. The deck is great for functions or just to watch the sun set while enjoying the cocktails. Topo Gigio is also well known for their shooter challenge and half price jug specials.There is live music on Sunday afternoons where the loud, fun and vibey restaurant becomes a typical Italian restaurant.

Topo Gigio has been around on the Greenside strip for years, and for good reason. It’s an old faithful when it comes to getting delicious jugs of mojito, caipirinha or margaritas and hearty bowls or pasta or plates of pizza. This is the perfect place for hanging out with friends, catching lunch or watching sport. I’ve had too many good times here to count, and the waiters are all fast and the service friendly. The ambience is great and peering out into the street gives you the perfect “Joburg vibe”. Long live Topo!
