Brilliant service and efficient staff. Peaceful environment with great ambience. Could have been a 5 star had it not been for the shockingly poor food at the Rambling Vine restaurant . Duck starters unimaginative, dry and bland and the R190 beef fillet mains was over cooked, tough, chewy and flavourless. My partners Pork dish no different. We wine and dine regularly all over JHB and this rates as my worst to date . For a top level restaurant this chef should be ashamed . What a spoiler for a great Hotel
Your restaurant was recommended to us by our friends in the government.

I've been on the telephone with Mount Grace for more than 15 minutes to find out if they'd be able to cook a beef wellington for us. I was transferred from person to person, and not a single person could answer questions about the menu. I was then told that the head chef (Stefano) was away to judge a competition.

Bravo chef Stefano, for not leaving a knowledgeable person in charge when you're away.

PS: I can only make a review about the service. It wouldn't allow this review to submit unless I rated the food and the ambience, which I am sure is superb once you can actually get a table.

    Fabulous!

Most disappointed on 31 December 2011.

A wonderful experience that was filled with decadent food and little treats. We got to taste a little bit of everything on the menu and it was worth it! The chefs really went the extra mile for us. Thank you.
