Horrible food badly edible frozen fish. My grilled salmon cover in paprika over cooked. What a waste of money! Save yourselves headache and go to Ocean basket. This place is awful. Even the sushi was mediocre.

My worst dining experience in quite some time. Warm wine, cold food, raw rice, inexperienced staff and management, massive bill. I won't be back. So many good eateries in Pretoria east to choose from. Can't imagine how this one still stands.

Worst experience ever. The king prawns look like shrimp and they were dry and burnt. When I complained to the Manager on duty (Thursday, 26 March, 19h00) the Manager was non-responsive and non apologetic. To quote her words "If you didn't like it why did you eat it" We ate it because we waited over an hour for our food! We were really disgusted! This was the FishHoek at Lynwood bridge.

We visited the restaurant 25 April2014 for a birthday celebration and booked a table. Fortunately we booked because it was fully booked on arivall.The table was booked where we asked and the service was excellent .We thought there would be a delay with the food seeing they were very busy but the food was served within half an hour and we were 8 people.We came back from a holiday in Cape Town and honestly this was the best seafood we had anywhere. Best value for money and food is served with veggies and a separate salad ( very well prepared with sundried tomatoes and a huge chunk of feta ) corckage fee on wine very reasonable. Every plate on our table was well presented and all enjoyed their food .Even the coffee was very tasty as compared to most coffee shops.I can recommend the Famous Fishoek to anyone that enjoy seafood and the prices are very reasonable.
