Settle in to one of the warm nooks of the old Victorian house and enjoy burgers and wood-fired pizzas while you catch the game. There’ll also be some World Cup promotions on offer.

Hudsons The Burger Joint (Claremont, Gardens and Green Point)?

Chow down on your favourite gourmet burger while watching the game. Plus, throughout the FIFA World Cup, Hudsons will also be running a R20 Budweiser special. Pair that with burgers topped with biltong chilli cream cheese, bacon jam, deboned rib, or beer-battered jalapeños.

Perseverance Tavern (Gardens)

The oldest pub in Cape Town will be showing all the sporting action in its cosy bar area. The menu features all the usual pub grub favourites like buffalo wings, nachos, chicken strip baskets, steak and ribs, and hearty eisbein for those chilly winter days. Picadas (City Bowl)

This new Latino bar above The House of Machines will be showing all World Cup games and whenever Spain or South America are playing, there will be some delicious specials. The food here features everything from empanadas to homemade chorizo. Look out for the traditional asado which will take place on 16 June when Argentina will be taking the field.

Ricks Cafe Américain (Gardens)

Comfy couches, two fireplaces and four big screen televisions complete the picture at this popular spot. Alongside the burger, beer and tequila specials that will be on offer during the Soccer World Cup, you can also fill up on hot tapas platters, gourmet burgers, grills, and warming tagines. Be sure to book if you’re planning on heading here with a big crowd. The restaurant will also be closed on Sundays.
