This is the most enthralling description of an eating experience that I have ever read. The story sweeps one along the journey of the meal. There is an element of a cliffhanger challenging the chef to produce yet another and then another masterpiece. Surely he won’t, but he does! I was devastated to come to the end of the story. This material would make a wonderful novella or a film after the fashion of La Grande Boeuf. I would cheerfully kill to eat at Eleven Madison Park. But, I would have to take three dinner companions, so we could each choose a different leaf. What an orgy of joy we would experience.
