As a fellow Brit I have enjoyed many of John’s wonderful dishes during our annual visit to the Cape. He told me during our last visit in February that he was leaving to spend a few years back in the UK.
We hail from the same part of England & have happily reminisced over familiar places. He will be sadly missed at Rust en Vrede but hopefully one day he will return to SA, a country he loves dearly.
