Plan your weekend: Street Food Festival in Cape Town and Joburg

The second annual Street Food Festival will return to Cape Town on Sunday 26 July, with the programme extending to Johannesburg for the first time the following Saturday, 1 August. This year’s festival will focus on traditional cuisine and street treats from around the African continent.

The two cities will follow jam-packed programmes plus a food market offering favourites like pizzas, hot dogs, burgers and noodles as well as loads of local and authentic delicacies from smileys, mielies and samoosas to mopani worms, bunny chows and gatsbys. The market will be open from 9am to 4pm and entrance is free.
