So I decided to try Nomad tonight. The last time I enquired, they also mentioned they’ve got belly dancing on Fridays! Table was reserved when we got there. The ambience is quite good. Our waitress Charlotte was kind and she ensured our glasses were full all the time. We opted for the Turkish pasta and a full portion of wings (5 full wings, chips and roast veggies). Waited some time for the food to arrive and it eventually came (after another waiter put it on the wrong table). The pasta was good and filling. My chicken wings had a good taste until I realised I ate raw chicken. I checked the rest of the pieces and all raw. I can eat rare to medium rare meat, but NOT raw chicken. Management tried to redo my order but I’ve lost my appetite by then (had to wait a long time before someone noticed I stopped eating). The belly dancing was good entertainment, but I won’t be back.

In reply to <a href="https://www.eatout.co.za/article/review-authentic-turkish-cuisine-mad-nomad-midrand/#comment-437170">Helene Stephens</a>.

Well...no, that's not really what we're saying at all. Hennie Fisher is our reviewer who went to eat at Mad Nomad. As you'll see in the article, their aim is to always employ a Turkish chef in the head chef position - precisely to ensure authenticity and to pass on skills. Teaching is a big part of their culture. The Mall of Africa is in Midrand in Johannesburg - hope you'll get to visit them for some meze!

So you're saying someone called Fisher is producing authentic Turkish cuisine somewhere in Africa? Seriously? Please state in which city your various eateries are.
