Actually science did prove sugar is the enemy in a round about way.  Over the past 5 decades, tens of thousands of studies attempted to demonize fat as the culprit.  No study ever proved conclusively that fat had any negative health effects.  What they did inadvertently prove from the test subjects who went low fat and higher in grains and foods in sugar, found increases instances of CVD, cancer, diabetes, and early death.]]></description>
