Hi, just a random question, we do know that the hospitality industry has been majorly affected by Covid, be that as it may all sectors have been equally affected. So to come down to my question, is tipping compulsory? I visited a restaurant last week, and I was not particularly happy with the service, when I received my bill there was a 10% tip assigned automatically, I asked them to remove it because I would have liked to not submit a tip due to the poor service received, however I was told that it was mandatory to pay the tip weather I liked too or not? is that legally correct?

This is bullshit. RASA has done nothing to help restaurants. Even these actions are pathetic and just bowing down to the government. RASA should be saying no, getting restaurants together to stand against the government mandates. The mistake from the beginning was exactly as this article stated, RASA supported the government all along and still does. They have been a massive part of the reason that the restaurant industry is in such dire straits. The blood of the industry is on their hands.
