Watch: Why you need to visit this new Franschhoek gem

Chef-proprietor Darren Badenhorst’s new fine-dining restaurant Le Coin Français is making waves in the Franschhoek restaurant scene. Accomplished in classic French cooking techniques, Darren has honed his skills over many years in Franschhoek, most recently at Grande Provence. Now, he’s turning out downright beautiful plates in his own space, right on the town’s main drag. Produce is fresh and locally sourced and, as Darren owns a commercial fishing boat, you can expect the seafood offering to be particularly fresh. We’re talking ruby cured sea bass ceviche, smoked monkfish, and butter-poached langoustines with creamy risotto.
