VERY VERY unfriendly disrespectful service by the hostess! Waiters are fantastic and can not stop apologising for their bad attitude. We complaint before, when we had a full table of guests celebrating on a Friday night - a minute after we ordered our food 8pm we were informed the Bar will be closing, by the hostess/ manageress - just as our food arrived, they started packing up around us with so much noise moving tables and chairs - so un-welcoming, with unfriendly management We- tried to visit again and the same happened again - then we attempted a visit on a Thursday afternoon and had our small doggy wrapped in a blanket with us, and decided for a quick lunch - BIG MISTAKE -patrons around us also with their dogs were complaining just te same, you are treated hostile - It started getting cold in that open area and were are not well. We requested the waiter we just move 3 steps away out of the chill wind in the corner - THERE WERE NO OTHER GUESTS in that area at all and a step away - the moment we moved the hostess started harassing us because we were out of the area - really 3 steps away? - still on the stoep, the open area - not inside the restaurant at all?? - She said people are complaining our our request to of "Who are complaining (Because we were the only people on that side out of sight) - She said "a Waiter was complaining" She later lashed out to me and personally had a vendetta with me and verbally attacked me out of the blue demanding: "Why I am looking at Her" - well i was facing that way but we were so shocked!! BAD BAD - this is surely coming down from Management/Owners. People come to the beach and on holidays with their dog companions to relax not to a Nazi camp, customers should be respected - BEWARE if you dare to go there with a doggy companion, you make yourself a target, you are harassed if you dare to move an inch out of the "ALLOWED" area _ Never have we experienced this - they are very unfriendly and unhelpful enforcing all sort of restrictive autocratic rules. NOT ACCOMMODATING at all. We have been visiting Cbali for many years and used to recommend it to our visiting guests - NOT ANYMORE - Wont see us or our 500 or so visiting guests our guesthouses in a year AGAIN - the hostesses talk down to you in a very disrespectful way - they are youngsters talking to people many years their senior with so much disrespect. Verbally attacking us for looking in her direction - HORRIBLE experience - We send an email to the owners and management, but no reply. We don't need this stress. Rather go to LARRYS
A gem of a place with a stunning backdrop of the Indian Ocean. The menu is vast for those that want varieties and not necessarily just seafood. The sushi is a must and about the best I've had! (Try the Dragon rolls!) Overall an extremely pleasurable experience every time we visit.
Good sushi. Unfriendly service. Long waiting time.
The view simply cant be beaten, with wonderful decor and comprehensive menu, a real breath of fresh air for the South Coast. This is a must see for all holidaymakers and locals alike. Must try the sushi, world class!
If you like Thai, this is not the place to have any...
