(Caramellos, Pretty Gardens) I bought two pieces of cake, take away and i was told i have to buy a plastic bag for R1 or else i will have to walk out of the shop with my cakes in the hands. I went to the manager who then told me that why is it people dont complain when they go to a supermarkets????I have been to so many restaurants where i buy take away and my food is packed neatly for me without being asked to pay extra. Please do not get me wrong, i do not have a problem buying a plastic bag, but definitely not from a restaurant where i would have paid even a tip when i was only getting take away. The manager was so rude and made me look stupid, raising his voice, trying to explain to me so many things and examples that did not make sense. He then said if i paid the waitress a tip, then she is the one who has to buy the plastic for me. I must say this was the poorest service i have ever received from any restaurant in Bloemfontein and all over after buying take away.

I had always had excellent service until I bought a cake on 20/06/2012 and it melted within 45 minutes. Manager would not believe me, was unprofessional, treated me as a thief and I feel very angry about the shabby teatment. Teach this manager to treat customers with respect and not as crimminals.

I have enjoyed having light meals and breakfasts at Caramellos, the atmosphere is pleasant and the service has always been incredibly warm and friendly. Well done!
