Owner's description

With panoramic views of the golf course and vineyards of the Bottelary Valley in the distance, it is still the perfect spot for winding down after a day on the golf course. It is a true delight to sample meals from their diverse menu that has been prepared by their team of chefs and accompanied by a bottle of Provoyeur Wine, from the estate. The restaurant is open to the public for all meals, all day, all week and boasts an extensive menu, suitable for any occasion.

Great food and value for money. Stunning views. 3 course set menu was only R295. Will definitely be back again soon.
We went to Devonvale for lunch to try Chez Shiraz after purchasing a groupon. The restaurant is part of the clubhouse and there is a lounge and bar adjacent to the dining room. we could hear and watch the rugby from our table, we heard the golf winners be announced, and we also heard a terrible playlist which included bridge over troubled water gospel style. putting that aside, the views were lovely and so was the food. well lovely as we could have imagined. I had a prawn and bacon spring roll starter with crayfish bisque, the bisque was way too salty, the springroll a winner. i had the linefish as a main while my partner had 3 cuts of pork, those were enjoyable and then dessert. this came with a wine pairing which was also decent. the groupon price we paid was worth it, just for the volume of food, which wasn't terrible. however I think they need to seriously up thier game if they want to justify charging R370pp for 3 courses, especially as there are better places nearby
