We visited Crayfish Inn for the second time and our expectations were high. We even brought our sisters from Sandton in Gauteng, where we are originally from. The lady was clearly busy and so we had to show ourselves to our table. She didn't even as much as acknowledge or give us menus and when we demanded them, she insisted that we order drinks. We didn't even know what drinks they have because she hadn't given us a menu. I found her to be ignorant, arrogant and possibly even racist in her demeanor. She didn't even apologize for her tardy and nonchalant service and we felt it best to walk out. This woman has ruined a restaurant that has the best prawns I've ever tasted. I've travelled all over the world and this is by far the worst service I've ever experienced.
Never even got to eat! I reserved a table for 5. Was told that there was a smoking area. However when we arrived the table that I had reserved was occupied and I was told there was defiantly no smoking area. Decided to go next door to the Lobster Pot where we had a wonderful evening and fantastic food. To any of the bikers coming down to Africa bike week rather visit the Lobster Pot. The Crayfish Inn sucks

I'm a Head Chef at one of the elite hotels in South Africa, I ordered a baby crayfish, a side of calamari and chips.

We waited for nearly a hour, and the restaurant weren't busy at all.

Upon receiving my order, I immediately questioned the portion size of the calamari. 8 small rings of calamari. The chips looked like it has been refried in old cold oil.

I spoke to the manager who were at first helpful but turned out arrogant, he took my plate and queried it with the kitchen, then came back and literally throw the plate in front of me, stating "that is what you ordered, that is what you get"

I got up, walked to the kitchen and spoke to the "Head Chef" Lee-Ann - what a arrogant B she is... I strongly doubt that she has any qualifications needless to say the lack of hygiene in the kitchen made my left my plate of food in front of her.

I will get hold of Richard who seems to be the owner of the restaurant...

Rather go to Spur than to Crayfish Inn
Not impressed. Arrived and waited almost half an hour for menus. Waitress said they had to change the menus thus the reason for taking so long. I know you up your prices over Dec'13 holiday season but surely don't make it so obvious. We arrived and 1kg Prawn sign outside said R220 and menu gave different price. After just having drinks upon leaving we noticed the owner changed sign boards outside still busy painting them with increased prices. Looking at other negative reviews glad we did not stay for dinner. Date: 6/12/2013 17:30pm.

Service was not good at all and the food was horrible. The steak was tough and the prawns were dry. Paid far too much for the little bit of sauce that was a side order. Never again.
