We absolutely LOVE Flava Cafe in Wilderness, South Africa. My Mom and I had the most awesome meal yesterday - she opted for the Pork Belly which was succulent as always; served with the most divine Creamed Spinach, Butternut, Mash and Gravy. I had the Bacon, Guacamole and Feta Burger which was medium as requested - absolutely Delicious and served with Crispy Skinny Fries and Deep Fried Onions - totally awesome and delicious! One always eats with their eyes first I believe and our meals were worth 10 STARS! I love the Bistro type Setting, it's Funky and Welcoming. The staff are extremely well trained, friendly and never encroach on you to ask 'how your meal is' whilst your mouth is full of yumminess - which for me is definitely a plus! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Restaurant and bookings over the weekend/holiday season is a must or you will be dissappointed as they are generally fully booked!
Flava Cafe in Wilderness not only serves the most awesome dishes; the friendliness of the Manageress and Staff is rare to find! My Stepson, Husband and I all had their fabulous Pork Belly - just fantastic - beautifully presented as always! Stunning Red Wine and a different take on Tequila shots for which we needed fresh Pine Apple; she went out of her way to find one as they did not have any - Joy the Manageress is just the right fit as is Llewellyn the Barista - Roxanne Blum has done a fabulous job employing brilliant reliable staff and the ambiance is a total buzz - totally sought after for bookings - we Love eating at Flava! They never compromise on any dish and go out of their way to make you feel totally welcome!
Cafe Style Dining, gorgeous decor, brilliant Food that's the entire menu! Burgers come in Beef, Chicken as well as Vegetarian Options. Gourmet Burgers with fillings such ad Brie and Caremelized Onions, served with the most awesome 'side garnish', and skinny cut fries. Staff attentive yet in the background, never hovering over you which I prefer, Beers are always cold jhst as we lkje them great range of craft beers. Flava Cafè is owned by the Girls Restaurant, possibly rated as THE Best Restaurant in the Wilderness. It's a local favourite and booking is a must as they are generally alway booked up.
My husband Tony and I had dinner at Flava Cafè on Friday evening, 13th May 2016. Ambience: Country Style, white-washed furnishings with loads of wall hangings all to do with Love, ones Love of Food - Comfortable, Clean..... previous reviews give a detailed description of the interior which I don't need to belabor! Service: Great, ALWAYS friendly, attentive but never in your face - we are generally in a rush for our drinks, so that's always our first port of call! Waitron runs through the specials of the day, gives one time to settle, check the menu options, make a decision and then comes around to take ones order, as mentioned attentive yet unobtrusive. Food: Albeit they have a 'new' Chef ... well we haven't been in a while as we are guest house owners so it's really difficult to get away however we decided it was high time to treated ourselves to an evening out. Every meal we have ever had has never dissappointed. Drinks options for the evening was craft beer from biabrewery - we do love our wine; but it was a craft beer night for us. Tony had the rolled Pork Belly which is set atop mash, served with crispy vegetables and a scrumptious jus. He loved it as much as he had on a previous occasion. As I wasn't extremely hungry I opted for the fillet steak prego roll, smothered in onions and peri-peri sauce, served with skinny fries and a side salad.... the salad is always refreshing. It sits on the same plate in a separate little bowl with the most amazing salad dressing. Extra peri-peri is offered at no additional charge. The peri-peri sauce being as delicious as it is, I often buy a bottle or two to take home. We ended off the evening with an Irish Coffee - Jameson's of course -1 sugar only which was perfect! Portions are extremely generous and well priced. This little Bistro owned by Roxanne & Cheri of The Girls Restaurant serves absolutely delicious, well priced meals. Almost all items on the menu services vegetarian, chicken as well as meat options. For instance, should you want a burger and they are GOURMET, you can have Vegetarian, Chicken or Beef. The same goes for their curries for instance so they really do cate to all preferences! I would go as far as saying that you should never be dissappointed with any meal, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner! There are quite a few delectable choices of which we have had numerous over the past few years. Cost of our meal Pork Belly Prego Roll 5 x biabrewery craft beers 2 x Irish coffee Bill - R430 Total Bill with Tip - R500 Fantastic food, bearing in mind we eat with our eyes first! Service always impeccable!!!!!!!!
